Facebook Messenger is adding a new entertainment feature called “Instant Games” and has chosen Shuffle Cats Mini, a game from makers of Candy Crush, as a demo presentation. King already has a Facebook Page for the game that clearly wears Instant Game label on it.
Instant Games, currently in testing phase, will soon be launched on Facebook Messenger. The quick gaming platform will enable people to play games and challenge their friends on the messaging app. Alongside King, other game developers like Big Viking are preparing to roll out lightweight games to take advantage of the new growth opportunity.

The only gaming platform Facebook currently has is Facebook Canvas, which is only available on the desktop versions. The popularity of Android and iOS games have pushed back Canvass games far back into the oblivion. By integrating games into its Messenger, the social media giant will take the exploit all the three worlds.
From a business point of view, Facebook could charge game developers for shipping their games to Facebook Messenger or take out its cut from the in-app purchases. Whatever the case, Shuffle cats Mini is coming to smartphones and the chatting app with over a billion user base will sneak in its own games into iPhone and Android phones.
