CEO Evan Spiegel told the Wall Street Journal that the scope of Snap Inc. will stretch beyond the Snapchat. ‘When I got the footage back and watched it, I could see my own memory, through my own eyes — it was unbelievable,” he told the news site.

The Snapchat-video recording spectacles feature 115-degree wide-angle lenses deliberately calibrated to such to approximate humans’ field of view, thus providing a more realistic video experience.

The latest camera-cum-sunglasses are expected to not only boost company’s growth but also make it stand apart from its social media competitors like the Instagram.
