Google Chrome to Finally Kill Flash Player

Google has announced that it is going to kill Flash Player plugin in the Chrome web browser. The Adobe provided plugin is being removed on the premises that modern browsers need more flexibility that can only be provided by newest web browser-end programming languages like HTML5.

Chrome is going to kill Flash Player, which is actually a transition from Flash Player to HTML5. The transition will take place in first few months of 2017. Adobe might not like it but the plugin maker knew the inevitable had to eventually happen, as Mozilla has also announced to finally get rid of it.

To kill Flash Player seems unfair, but tech giants, including Adobe, are finally yielding to the changing requirements of web surfing. Unity3D web player also met the similar fate not long ago and now has been replaced by a much open and flexible OpenGL, which displays 3D contents in web browsers.

From standpoint of websites that choose not to kill Flash Player must ask Chrome users’ permission via the pop-up component that is responsible for authorizing other permissions like access to location or the camera. The positive in this change of strategy that is centered around users’ privacy and their ability to control what websites do when they enter the window of their computers or smartphones.
